Equine rescue organizations are formed by caring individuals
intent on saving horses with uncertain futures -- some are
for particular breeds, such as Standardbreds or Thoroughbreds.
Once these horses are done racing, their owners may donate
them to the organization in order to find them good homes
as non-racing, pleasure and/or competition horses. There
are other organizations that may accept any horse breeds
to save them from uncertain futures.
The
following list does not imply the promotion of any or all
of the organizations. The list is for informational purposes
only. The State of New Jersey does not have any connection
with the above mentioned facilities. If you are interested
in any of the organizations, please call them for more information.
